3 pieces of USA-made furniture for the proud American
Oh, say can you see
By the dawn’s early light
What so proudly we hailed…as the most comfortable seating!
Heehee – that’s a joke that would make my kids cringe for days! Happy Independence Day, Y’all! There are only a few weeks left until my absolute favorite holiday of the year. (Yes, I know it’s nuts, but Christmas can step aside because I’m a “Fourth girl.”) I love the weather, I love the food, I love the fireworks, and most of all, I love showing my pride for the red, white, and blue. I like to do whatever I can to add a little “USA” into my daily life, all year long.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying I walk around every day with a flag motif on the front of my shirt, but I like to do little things like raising a flag on our property, volunteering at the local veteran’s hospital, and buying products made in the USA. What better way is there to support our country than trusting and investing in products made right here?
The furniture market is saturated with foreign goods these days, so it sometimes can be tough to find those “made in the USA” products I long for. As always, Morris Home is ready to help. They offer a vast selection of quality pieces at a great value and with impeccable style. Let’s check out a few of my current faves that, of course, are made right here at home. USA! USA!
Choices, choices, choices. One of my favorite things about choosing furniture from Morris Home is the customization, and the McGraw sectional is a perfect example of their customization program. Morris Home’s professional designers can help you make this sectional a one-of-a-kind piece. Morris Home has hundreds of choices ready to be customized. Depending on the piece, you can select the fabric, the shape of the arms, almost anything! Make your home uniquely yours. Isn’t that what America is about? Having the freedom to choose what you love? The possibilities are endless, and I love that.
The Anniversary dining set is a beautiful piece of Amish-American craftsmanship. The meticulous attention to detail gives this set a personality of its own. I’m telling you, nothing in this world compares to the beauty of an Amish-made piece of furniture. The table is built from solid maple, and it features simple shapes and detailing for a long life and always-stylish look. Tapered legs with notched detailing and a two-toned finish add subtle flair to the collection, as well. I like that this set can be dressed down for a casual family dinner or dressed up for a dinner party. The best thing about Amish furniture is that it is durable enough for everyday use, but is just so beautifully finished, it doesn’t look out of place in a formal setting.
What is there not to love about the Natalie sofa? The classic lines, wooden legs, and rolled arms scream “American dream,” right? I love that the rolled arms give it style and shape, but the deep cushioned seating means it is absolutely comfortable. As an extra bonus, it has stain-resistant iClean fabric, exclusively from La-Z-Boy. I love that La-Z-Boy has expanded their product assortment and is now known for more than just recliners. I think we can all admit (when our husbands aren’t around) that those things are the most comfortable place to curl up and relax. It’s nice that we can bring that comfort into our home now, with a bit more style!
Well, that’s a wrap, folks. Let’s end with a bang! (Or rocket’s red glare — heehee!) I would encourage you all to head into Morris Home and check out the made in the USA options. I think you will be surprised by what you can find — I know I was! I just love the thought of raising my children to appreciate the things their country can create. Now, I’m off to prep my home for the coming holiday. Bring on the red, white, and blue!
